Without this option a ghost/terminal services session can not display log information. You must enable this option from within the primary MDaemon GUI and restart this ghost session to see log information.

Ghost session is already in progress. This version of MDaemon only supports a single ghost session. This will change in future versions.

Ghost sessions require MDaemon Pro.

Ghost session could not be started because MDaemon is not running.

Ghost session terminating because MDaemon has been shut down.

The Individual service logging option is not currently enabled (see Setup|Logging Options). Without this option a ghost/terminal services session can not display log information. You must enable this option from within the primary MDaemon GUI and restart this ghost session to see log information.\r\n\r\nClick OK to continue without log information\r\nClick CANCEL to exit.

A "ghost" session is one which is not actually connected,but which the IRC server
believes is still online for one reason or another.

If you start MDaemon from the command line and pass the /ghost command line switch, an engine-less copy of the GUI will start.

We call these detached GUIs: ghosts.

Since ghosts are detached from the main MDaemon and don''t do any mail processing you can usually get better responsiveness out of them.

Ghosts use a green tray icon and say "Ghost" in the window caption.

You can run a ghost through Terminal Services and edit the properties of the actual MDaemon service.

For a ghost to display logging information within the various services tabs you will need to enable
the new logging option "Log each service into a separate log file."

MDaemon 6.0 supports only a single running ghost instance.

How to avoid ghost session?
Sometimes, in case of connectivity failure, some users sessions could be left in a blocked state.
Our politic is to allow only one session at a time (for security and for resources managment reasons).
It''s now possible to configure your account to automatically kill the remaing ghost sessions
while reconnecting. Just create a file named ".autokill" in your home directory (touch .autokill).
